Did anyone else see the way the legal arguments unfolded during Hoffman's trial? It's baffling how self-defense can be claimed when Branden was unarmed and shot with a deer slug of all things. My heart aches for Branden's family, having to sit through a legal process that seemed so skewed. How do we even begin to wrap our heads around something like this? It feels like the justice system failed them in some way. And about the party – how did it go from a typical gathering to such tragedy? Anyone have insight on whether there were prior conflicts between the two or if this was completely out of the blue? Thoughts are with Branden's loved ones as they navigate this unimaginable loss.
