I've been thinking a lot about the incredibly tragic situation of Brittany Russell. It's haunting to imagine what her final moments must have been like, especially with her baby girl so close by. I can’t help but wonder about the aftermath for her daughter. She's going to grow up knowing her mother was taken in such a horrific way and was left alone with her for so many hours. It's just unimaginable. How do families cope with such a loss? I hope Brittany’s family has some solid support around them and that they’re finding ways to heal. Such senseless violence. The sentences for the men involved do bring some justice, but it's just devastating that this little girl will never get to know her mom.
