Has anyone else been struck by the role the community in the Mission District played in Yvonne Barillas' life? I've been thinking about how deeply embedded she was in the neighborhood and how much love and resilience she seemed to share with so many people. She had her struggles, but it's evident that she managed to touch numerous lives along the way. It’s so tragic that someone who survived so many hardships could have her story end this way. The Mission District feels like such a tight-knit area—hopefully, someone from the community might have some clues that could help solve this case. Keeping her family and all those who knew her in my thoughts. It's unimaginable what they must be going through still.
