I keep thinking about the role that Percocet apparently played in this whole tragedy. It’s so difficult to wrap my head around how a drug can contribute so heavily to such loss and pain. It seems from what I've read that Trevon’s family was angry about Montez supplying him with it, and understandably so. This kind of thing seems to blur the lines between choice and fate a lot, especially when young lives are involved. Trevon was so young, with so much ahead of him—this just breaks my heart for his family. I think it’s important we keep discussing how these drugs end up in our communities and how easily they seem to instigate tragic events like this one. My thoughts go out to Trevon’s family and friends; they’ve lost someone so dear over circumstances that often feel so preventable.
