I wanted to talk about the aspect of the case involving the initial arrest and subsequent release of Carlton Holden II. It must be incredibly frustrating and painful for James Appels’ family and friends, especially when you think someone has been caught, only for the charges not to be approved. I can't begin to imagine what they're going through, dealing with the loss while also waiting for justice. It's hard to understand why the Prosecutor's Office didn’t approve charges at that time. It makes me wonder about the complexities and challenges involved in gathering enough evidence to confidently move forward with a case. It’s crucial that this process is thorough, but it must be so difficult for the family to experience this wait-and-see period. I truly hope that more information comes to light soon and that James' family finds the closure they need. It's tough to see a community in mourning, and I hope the support around them helps as they navigate such an unimaginable loss.
