Was anyone else deeply affected by the fact that children were present during this tragic event on Victor Avenue? I can’t even begin to imagine the trauma they must have experienced witnessing such horror at such a young age. It seems like a lot of the discussion is focused on the legal proceedings and Davion Lyons’ charges, but I feel like the impact on these kids might not be getting enough attention. Those young lives are forever changed, and I hope they're receiving the support and counseling they need to heal from this. It’s just tough to think about the lasting effects this incident will have on them, and I really admire any efforts being made to support these little ones through what must be an incredibly confusing and terrifying time. Anyone know of local organizations or community efforts that are helping the families and the children involved? It’d be nice to know that the community is rallying behind them in whatever ways possible.
