I’ve been following the Reutzel case and can’t stop thinking about how isolating this must feel for their three young daughters. Losing both parents in such a devastating way is unimaginable. Many community members have expressed their desire to offer support, and it got me thinking about how we can truly help those kids and their family now. I came across a post from a neighbor who mentioned how involved Rachel and Todd used to be in local events and activities. Their girls probably have plenty of friends here, and I hope that network of support surrounds them during this incredibly tough time. Other families in similar situations have found group counseling or therapy to be helpful for the kids – I wonder if local services have stepped up to provide something like that. If anyone knows about local initiatives or fundraising efforts for the daughters’ futures or to support the family more broadly, please share. It's hard to comprehend the loss, but maybe by coming together, the community can offer some semblance of stability and care for the children. My thoughts are with them and everyone affected by this tragedy.
