I’ve been following Shikary Ray Allen's case and can’t stop thinking about how senseless this violence is. It's just so difficult to comprehend why someone would take such a promising young life over something so trivial. Reading about Shikary's love for football and how he was a recent graduate really hits home—he was just starting out in life with so much potential. I can’t imagine the pain his family and friends are going through right now.
Even though the arrests of Brightwell and Matthews might bring a bit of closure, nothing can bring Shikary back. I hope this serves as a wakeup call for more community action to prevent such tragedies in the future. Columbus has seen too much loss, and each life taken is a tragedy. Let’s keep his family in our thoughts and hope they find strength during this incredibly tough time.
I can't stop thinking about Shikary's love for music and how it's such a universal connector. It's so touching to know that despite everything that happened, his family and friends still find solace in the songs he used to listen to. Music has a way of keeping memories alive, and I imagine hearing his favorite tracks might feel like him being right there, even for just a moment. It makes me wish there was more we could do to celebrate Shikary's life and all the joy he brought to those around him. Sending love and strength to everyone who knew and loved him. ?
