Did anyone else follow the recent court hearing regarding Malik Peeples? I find it so unsettling knowing he's got a prior history of offenses, yet this keeps happening. It seems like the justice system really dropped the ball on this one. From drug-related charges to a weapons charge, it seems like there were red flags all along. It's frustrating and sad to think about how many opportunities there might have been to intervene before things escalated to this point. Can't help but wonder if there were ways to provide better support or rehabilitation that could have prevented this from happening. My heart goes out to Donald Campbell’s family. No one should have to go through losing someone like this, and knowing it might have been preventable in some way just makes it harder to stomach. Anyone know more about what the community is doing to address this rise in violence?
