It's so unsettling to hear about how unexpected this whole situation is. I've been thinking about James Allen Ponder's hobbies, especially his love for woodworking and fishing. It must have been such an inspiring passion for him, being able to create with his hands and enjoy the peacefulness of nature. I can't imagine how much he will be missed by his family and friends during those quiet moments. His daughter Mariah's actions bring up so many questions... What could’ve led her to this point? It breaks my heart thinking about how this family might have had plans to do things together, or projects James and Mariah might have worked on in the workshop. Sending so much love to everyone dealing with this loss.
I’ve been reading about the Ponder case and something that keeps sticking with me is James Allen Ponder’s involvement with The Loyal Order of Moose Lodge. It’s clear he had strong community ties and seemed to be well-loved and respected. I wonder how the members of the lodge have been processing all of this. Given that he spent time with them and shared in their activities, they must be feeling a profound sense of loss as well. It’s so difficult to reconcile the image of a man who invested in his community and loved his family with the horror of what happened. My thoughts are with them and especially with those who knew him through the lodge. It’s such a difficult time for everyone affected by this tragedy. If anyone has information about how the lodge has been coping or any memorials they may have had, I’d appreciate hearing more.
