Has anyone else been following the case of James Martin McAleavey? I've been reading up on it, and something that really sticks out to me is why there was such a delay in reporting him missing. I mean, it's understandable that adults can disappear for a while without people immediately jumping to conclusions, but it seems odd that it took so long for his absence to be formally recognized. I wonder if this delay might have impacted the initial investigation negatively? It seems like time can be really crucial in these cases. Also, does anyone know why his NamUs case was removed at one point? That part just adds to the whole mystery for me. I'd love to hear other thoughts or theories about this aspect of the case.

Has anyone else noticed the peculiar timing of James McAleavey's disappearance right before the holidays? It makes me wonder if there was something specific about that period that complicated the investigation. Many people tend to travel or get engrossed in holiday plans, which could mean witnesses didn't realize what they'd seen or heard until it was too late. It might also explain why his family waited a while before reporting him missing, assuming he was busy or had changed plans last minute. Does anyone here have experience or insights on how holiday timing might affect missing persons cases? Could this have impacted how quickly leads were followed up on?
