Hey everyone, I've been reading up on the tragic case of Professor Wilder, and something that's been sticking with me is how dedicated he was to social justice and environmental issues. It's just so unfair that someone who devoted so much of his life to making the world a better place was taken in such a senseless act of violence. From what I gathered, he was very passionate about the rights of adjunct professors, which often go overlooked. It really makes you think about all the meaningful causes that lose such passionate advocates in instances like these. I noticed CSU and JCU both held memorials in his honor, and I can imagine how much his students and colleagues are struggling—seems he was not just an educator but a mentor to many. If any of you were part of his classes or worked alongside him, I’d love to hear your stories or memories. I find it a powerful reminder of how each life, like David Wilder's, can touch so many and inspire a continued fight for justice and equality. Keeping his family and the community in my thoughts during this difficult time.
