Has anyone here been following the Steven Cotton case from 2012? It's been on my mind lately, especially given how many unsolved murders there are in Detroit. Steven was just 31 when he was taken from us, and I can't imagine what his family must be going through, even now, with all the unanswered questions. I was thinking about the role community involvement plays in cases like this. Sometimes cases get solved thanks to someone coming forward years later with a vital piece of information. I mean, look at how forensic advances have helped solve old cases — it's incredible. Does anyone know if there have been any renewed efforts to dig deeper into this case? It feels like the more people talk about it, the more likely it is that someone might remember something useful.

Hey everyone, I've been reading about Steven Cotton's tragic case, and it's truly upsetting to see so many lives affected by violence that year in Detroit. One thing that stands out to me is how the lack of resources seems to have become a significant barrier to solving cases like Steven's. It's frustrating to think how the backlog strains every part of the investigation process. I've been wondering what might help alleviate some of this pressure. I understand there's been a push for community involvement and witness cooperation, but it feels like more needs to be done. Maybe looking at how other cities handle their cold cases might offer some insights? Does anyone know of successful strategies from other areas that could be applied here? My heart is with Steven's family and everyone still waiting for answers. Hopefully, with continued efforts and new technologies, some resolution comes soon. What do you all think might help move these cases forward?

Is anyone else following Steven Cotton's unsolved case? It’s been over a decade, and it’s frustrating to see how many of these cases don’t get the resolution they deserve. Steven was only 31 and had his life ahead of him. I can’t imagine the pain his family and friends have experienced, living without answers for so long. With Detroit facing such a daunting number of unsolved homicides, it feels like the system is overwhelmed. The lack of resources and manpower definitely hinders the progress. I keep wondering if there’s a piece of evidence out there, maybe someone who saw something or remembers something that seemed insignificant at the time, that could make a difference. Do any locals think the new advances in forensic tech could help in these older cases? It would be comforting to know that there’s still hope for families waiting for justice. If anyone has thoughts on how the community can stay involved or what more can be done, I’d love to hear. Sending strength to all who are impacted.
