Has anyone considered the weather patterns during the Koenigs' disappearance? The Pacific Northwest is notoriously unpredictable when it comes to ocean conditions. In late April, they could have encountered everything from strong winds to sudden squalls. I wonder if anyone has looked into historical weather data from that week in 1996 to see what conditions might have affected their route. It’s possible they were caught off-guard by unexpected weather, which could have played a massive role in their disappearance. Would be interesting to see if any ships in those waters reported rough conditions around the same time.
