Has anyone looked into whether Janette Vandemortel had any connections to the areas surrounding Issaquah? Sometimes people start fresh in nearby towns where they feel they can blend in better. It seems like investigators haven't uncovered many leads, so maybe a different angle could help. If she had friends or acquaintances outside Issaquah, that might provide new insights or at least help narrow the search area. I feel like cases like this can benefit from looking into the broader community context, even if it's grasping at straws. What do others think?

Hey all, I was digging into Janette Vandemortel’s story, and something just struck me about the timing. She disappeared on May 1, 1997—May Day of all days. Issaquah has a few local events and celebrations around that time, and I can’t help but wonder if she was planning to attend something. Could this possibly help narrow down her last known whereabouts or who she was with? I haven’t found much about where exactly she was seen last that day. Anyone know if there were any significant events in town that could provide a clue or if there were any reported sightings around those gatherings?
