It's incredibly difficult to read about Jason Collins—someone who clearly brought so much joy and laughter to those around him—losing his life in such a senseless act of violence. I’ve been following this case, and what’s striking is how close-knit and loving his family seems to be, especially with mentions of the fun times he had with his nephews, Ashton and Brodie. It's unimaginable what his family must be going through right now. The fact that this incident was the 131st homicide in Columbus for the year is alarming. It really highlights the urgent need for stronger community safety measures. I hope that as the community grieves, steps can be taken to prevent such tragedies from happening to other families. My thoughts are with his loved ones during this challenging time.
