I've been following the case of James Able closely, and I can't even begin to imagine the pain and frustration his family must be going through. One thing that's been bothering me is the lack of witness reports. Over-the-Rhine is a bustling neighborhood, and you would think someone might have seen or heard something on the night James was shot. It's really perplexing. Why is no one coming forward? Is it fear, or is there something else at play here? I've read that sometimes community members are hesitant to talk because of distrust in the police, or fear of retaliation. But the police and James’ family have been begging for any piece of information, no matter how small. This is a plea for anyone who might know anything: Please consider how much this could mean to a grieving family. Even the tiniest detail might help solve this case and bring some peace to those left behind. I keep hoping that someone will come forward and break this silence. James truly deserves justice.
