It's terrifying to imagine such violence happening right inside someone's home—a place where you should feel safest. I can't help but wonder if this incident has changed how residents view their own safety and the trust they have in their security measures. The lawsuit and discussion around negligent security seem to suggest there were gaps in what should be a basic necessity for all tenants: feeling safe where you live. I really hope that the apartment management is taking this seriously and making necessary changes to ensure another tragedy like this doesn't happen again.
