I’ve been thinking a lot about Roger Walker’s unsolved case from back in 2012, and how it reflects this larger issue of unsolved homicides in Detroit. It's like his story got swallowed up in the sheer volume of cases. I can’t imagine the pain his family must feel, not knowing what really happened or getting that sense of closure. It’s frustrating knowing that the police have limited resources to work with, and these budget constraints just compound the problem. I’ve read that cold case units sometimes revisit these old cases with newer forensic techniques. I hope that Roger’s case is on their radar, at least for a review. If anyone from around Lawton remembers anything from that time, even if it seems insignificant, it could potentially help. Imagine being a family member, waiting year after year for answers. Just really hoping that more awareness can push resources to solve these cold cases. Every victim deserves justice, and every family deserves answers.

I've been reading up on some of the unsolved cases in Detroit, and Roger Walker's story from June 1, 2012, really stood out to me. It's deeply troubling that there seems to be so little information out there about what exactly happened to him that night on Lawton. I feel for his family and friends who have been left without answers for so long. It makes you reflect on how even a single piece of evidence or a witness coming forward could make such a huge difference. I truly hope that the Cold Case Unit is making progress using DNA analysis and other modern techniques, but I can only imagine the frustration of dealing with a backlog that big. Does anyone know if there have been any community initiatives recently to help highlight these cold cases and push for more resources? It's devastating to think of all those families still waiting for closure.
