I keep thinking about the impact that Christopher Woodard's death must have had on his friends and family. It's so hard to comprehend what it must be like to lose someone so young to violence, especially in a city where this seems to be all too common. I recently read about how communities in Detroit are trying to build stronger ties to help each other cope and hopefully make neighborhoods safer. It's inspiring to see people coming together, but it's sad that it has to happen under such tragic circumstances. Christopher's murder being unsolved for over a decade now must be so painful for those who knew and loved him. It’s not just a statistic; it’s a person, a life with dreams and a future stolen away. I really hope the Cold Case Unit, despite its challenges, can make strides in getting some answers. It’s long overdue for his family to receive some semblance of closure. What are your thoughts on how communities can work with law enforcement to improve the solving of these cold cases?
