I find it so odd that Barry Vincent Rodden's case was classified as a possible homicide rather than a simple diving accident. What caught my attention is the fact that authorities suspect foul play even though there were no immediate signs pointing towards such a scenario. It's been over two decades, and yet there's this persistent cloud of mystery hanging over the circumstances of his disappearance.
Has there been any new technology or techniques in underwater forensics developed that could maybe shed more light on what happened back then? It seems strange that with today’s advancements, we haven’t been able to uncover anything new. Also, did anyone ever find it odd that although Barry was with his girlfriend, nephew, and sons that day, no new information has come to light from their statements? Just thinking out loud here. Would love to hear others’ thoughts on this angle.
I've been following Barry Vincent Rodden's case for a while, and what really stands out to me is the timing and location of his disappearance. Pasco Reef isn't exactly a small, secluded spot. It's a place where you'd think there would be other divers or boaters around, especially since it's close to Anclote Key, a pretty popular spot. How did nobody see anything unusual when Barry didn't resurface?
It's been over two decades, and I keep wondering if someone else who was diving or boating in the area that day might remember something now. Memories can be jogged by the smallest details. Maybe someone saw a boat that seemed out of place or noticed people acting strangely. I believe that keeping the discussion going might help bring forward that one piece of information that could finally get some answers. What do you guys think? Could there be divers from that day who didn't realize they witnessed something connected to Barry's disappearance?
