I can't stop thinking about the safety concerns that have been brought to light since David's tragic death. It seems like the Evanston neighborhood has been struggling with incidents like this more often, and it's terrifying to think violence can disrupt lives so randomly and devastatingly. I didn't know David personally, but hearing about him and the impact he had on his friends and family shows just how senselessly his life was taken away. The increase in violence leaves everyone on edge, and it feels like our communities are changing. Does anyone else worry about how safe their neighborhood really is? It breaks my heart to think families are suffering, and justice feels so out of reach. I just hope someone who knows something comes forward soon. We owe it to David and his family to share any information, no matter how small.
