Have any of you looked into the community efforts around Deandre Miller’s case? It’s so sad to think about how his family and friends must have felt trying to get justice amidst all the chaos back in 2012. I’ve read there were several initiatives by local groups to gather any information they could, even organizing marches and vigils to keep the spotlight on him and other victims. It seems like they were really pushing to break the cycle of silence and fear that was gripping the neighborhood. It’s heartening to see the community rally in such a difficult time, even if the challenges they faced seemed insurmountable. This always makes me hopeful that collective efforts can help bring some closure to affected families. Anyone know if there were any significant leads that came from those efforts?
