Has anyone else thought much about the role of community surveillance cameras in Karrtel McGowan's case? It's so tragic what happened to him, and my heart truly goes out to his family and friends who are enduring this painful loss. While I understand privacy concerns some may have, the presence of cameras near Crosby and Gale streets could potentially provide crucial details that we otherwise might miss when no one else is around to witness these awful events. I know Akron PD has been reviewing footage in hopes of finding something useful. It's a double-edged sword—balancing privacy and safety—but when it comes to solving cases like Karrtel's, I can't help but wonder if more extensive surveillance might be a necessary tool. It's frustrating that nothing concrete has come from this yet to lead to an arrest. Hopefully, with persistent effort, something breaks soon. Thoughts?

Hey everyone, I've been following the discussion on Karrtel McGowan's case, and I wanted to bring up something that's been on my mind. I noticed that while the investigation has faced some roadblocks, particularly with the lack of reliable leads and immediate witnesses, it feels like there's a huge opportunity for the community to make a real difference here. From what I've gathered, Karrtel was not just another victim; he seemed like a really well-loved guy––a father, a friend, a family member. It might be worth thinking about how we as a community can step up our support for his family by spreading the word and encouraging more people to come forward with any information they might have, no matter how small it seems. Also, if there’s any local initiative or group working to prevent such violence in Akron, maybe involvement in those could be another way to honor Karrtel's memory? Raising awareness could not only aid this case but might also prevent tragedies like this in the future. Thoughts? I'd love to hear if anyone else has strategies or ideas that have worked in other cases. Karrtel's family deserves justice, and I feel like we can all play a part in making that happen. ? Stay safe, everyone.
