I’ve been following Lavante Perry's case and can't help but think about his kids, Elijah and Dai-Jon. With everything that went down, it's easy to overlook the real impact on the little ones left behind. Losing a parent, especially in such a violent way, is something no child should experience. I hope there's a strong support system around them to help navigate this heartbreak. If anyone has info on local resources or community efforts to support his family, especially those kids, please share. We need to come together and do what we can to give them a fighting chance for a brighter future.
Hey everyone, I've been following the Lavante Perry case for a while, and I can't stop thinking about his role as a youth coach. Despite everything in his past, it's clear he tried to give back to his community in some ways, trying to mentor the local kids. It's such a tough spot to be in, knowing someone had both a troubled side and a side that wanted to make things better for others. I feel terrible for his children, Elijah and Dai-Jon, who now have to grow up without their dad. Being a coach and guiding young minds is such a big responsibility, and I hope his positive influences are remembered by the kids he mentored. Our communities deeply need these role models, and it's just such a loss all around. Anyone else have any thoughts on the impact coaches can have in steering young people away from trouble?
