I've been thinking a lot about the role of community engagement in solving cold cases like Quincy Jones's. With so many cases going unsolved in Detroit, I feel like there’s a lot of untapped potential in getting the public more involved. What if we could find more ways to empower local residents to share what they know, safely and anonymously? Maybe something like neighborhood forums or town halls, where people are encouraged to speak up without fear, could be beneficial? Plus, additional resources for those willing to come forward might be another avenue to explore. It’s just so frustrating to see families in limbo, not able to find the closure they deserve. I really believe in the power of community-led efforts to bring about change. I hope we can find a way to create more spaces where people feel secure enough to contribute their knowledge and support those working tirelessly to solve these cases. Sending strength and hope to everyone waiting for justice.
