In the late afternoon of July 28, 2024, the body of 22-year-old Quincy Jones, an African American male, was discovered inside an SUV on Williamson Road in Bridgeport Township, Michigan. An investigation determined that he had been fatally shot. The vehicle was found parked in a residential area around 2:45 PM, but the motive for the shooting was not immediately clear.
As authorities delved into the circumstances surrounding Jones's death, another violent incident unfolded nearby on the
very same road. Two teenage boys riding their bicycles were struck by a vehicle. The driver then emerged from the car and shot one of the teens twice in the abdomen. Both teenagers were rushed to a local hospital and were reported to be in stable condition.
The investigation into Quincy Jones's homicide led police to identify 20-year-old Terramie Wright as a suspect. Wright was subsequently located and arrested in Detroit. He has since been charged with open murder in Saginaw County. Following his arrest, Wright was denied bond and is awaiting a preliminary hearing.
