I've been reading about the Nelson family tragedy, and I just can't get over how horribly sad this all is. As a parent myself, thinking about what those last moments must have been like for Liam and his siblings is just unbearable. What truly stood out to me is how involved they were in the local community, especially with things like T-ball. It seems like they were well-loved and made a big impact in their circle—that's probably why the whole town is mourning. It's chilling that neighbors heard arguing and gunshots the night before. It makes you wonder about those late-night hours, and if there were any signs someone could have acted upon to prevent this. The lack of a disclosed motive just adds another layer of confusion and sadness. For the sake of everyone affected, especially the community and surviving family members, I hope in time there can be some closure, although nothing can bring back what’s been lost. The strength of Elyria in coming together with support services such as counseling is a beacon of hope in this dark time. Let's continue to keep the memory of "The Baby" Liam and his family alive by supporting one another and looking out for signs, maybe learning so this never happens again.
