Hey everyone,
It's been a tough road for many families, and I'm really thinking about Shawn Davis's loved ones today. His murder on Grandmont Street back in 2012 is one of those cases that just sits with you. We know how challenging it was for the community during that time, with so much violence making these cases linger on. It's frustrating to think that justice hasn't been served yet in Shawn's case.
I was wondering if anyone here has insight into how the Detroit Police Department is handling ongoing cases from that year. Are they still actively working them, or have resources simply moved on to more recent incidents? Maybe some extra attention here and in the media could help put a spotlight back on cases like Shawn’s, and maybe bring some peace to his family.
Sending strength to everyone touched by this tragedy.
Hi everyone,
I’ve been reading through the discussions about unsolved cases, and Shawn Davis’s case has been weighing heavy on my mind. It’s just so frustrating and profoundly sad that his family is still waiting for answers, and it's been over a decade now. I saw an interview with his mother from a few years back, and her pain is still so raw. She mentioned how he had plans to go back to school, and it just makes the whole situation more tragic realizing the potential he had.
Does anyone know if there's been any renewed efforts or community outreach to try and get people to come forward with information? It’s infuriating how many cases from that time seem to have gone cold because witnesses are scared to speak up or feel it won't make a difference. I really hope the community can somehow rally again and push for closure not just for Shawn’s family, but for all families in similar situations.
Sending strength to Shawn's loved ones. Let's keep talking and finding ways to support these families who are left with so many unanswered questions.
Take care, everyone.
