I’ve been following the case of Andrew Corey Merritt, and I keep wondering about the circumstances surrounding his tragic death. It's just so devastating to know he was only 29, and he had his whole life ahead of him. The one thing I can’t wrap my head around is how there have been no suspects or arrests after nearly three years. It’s not like this happened in an isolated area; someone must have seen or heard something that night on S. Harris Avenue, right? The police are doing all they can, I'm sure, but it’s frustrating to see this case still unsolved, especially for Andrew’s family—how do they even begin to find closure without justice? It sounds like the community needs to be more aware of what happened and come forward with tips, no matter how small they might seem. If anyone was in the area that evening or heard anything in the days following, please reach out to Columbus PD or Crime Stoppers. Even sharing his story on social media could jog someone’s memory. Let’s help bring some peace to Andrew’s loved ones.
