Does anyone know if there's been any new info or theories about the route Jorge might have taken when he called from Reynosa? I’ve been researching similar cases from that area and it seems like there are a few different routes used by people trying to cross into Texas. Some forums suggest that other individuals who went missing around the same time might have been using the same crossing points. It's just so strange how Jorge's trail goes cold right after that call. Any insights into how law enforcement handles missing person cases in border areas like this would be super helpful. I've read that local jurisdictions sometimes collaborate with federal agencies—does anyone know if that's happening here?
I've been following Jorge Aguillon-Luna's case recently, and something that really sticks out to me is how it seems like all communication stopped right after he mentioned plans to cross into the U.S. from Reynosa. It’s like radio silence since Christmas Day 2008. If he was planning to cross through Hidalgo, Texas, I wonder what the situation was like at the border during that time. Were there heightened security measures that could have deterred or delayed him? Or, on the flip side, did the festive season make it easier for things to go unnoticed?
I’m curious if anyone here with knowledge about border crossings back in ‘08 has thoughts on this. Even understanding the conditions or someone else’s experience around that time could really add context to his disappearance.
Has anyone else been following Jorge Aguillon-Luna’s case? I was reading through some old articles and something that caught my attention was how there hasn't been any mention of surveillance footage from the crossing points around the time he went missing. It seems like in a busy area like the Hidalgo crossing, there'd be cameras or some form of documentation of people entering and exiting, especially during the holidays. I wonder if any footage was actually reviewed or if it's just never been discussed publicly. Does anyone know if there were any efforts to check this back in 2008, or if it's something that might have been overlooked? It just seems like an odd gap in the investigation to me.
