I can't stop thinking about KeOndre Austin and Geongela Rivers. Such vibrant lives taken way too soon. I read somewhere that KeOndre's family is really struggling with this loss, and I can't even begin to imagine their pain. In an instant, everything changed for them. It must be incredibly hard knowing the people responsible, Ortiz and Hunt, were arrested, but it can’t bring their loved ones back. The whole incident at My Friends Restaurant is so unsettling. It makes me think about how quickly a verbal argument can spiral out of control. Why did it have to end in gunfire? I hope this case raises more awareness about the underlying issues that lead to gun violence. As the legal proceedings unfold, my heart goes out to the families of both victims. They deserve justice and a sense of peace amid all this turmoil.
