Hey everyone, I’ve been following the tragic case of Scott Hopings, and something that sticks out to me is how this situation could potentially have been preventable. Andrea's Sports Pub, where the incident happened, was already on the city's radar due to previous complaints and violent activity. It's so concerning that despite being taken off the CERT list for compliance, a tragedy like this could still occur there. Why did it take another tragic loss of life for the pub to be put back on the list? I can’t imagine what Scott’s family and friends are going through right now. It’s a terrible loss, and my heart goes out to them. The whole community needs to come together to address these safety issues and prevent any more senseless violence. Why do places with a history of trouble remain open when it’s clear they pose a risk to public safety? If anyone has a similar experience or knows how these things are usually handled in Ohio, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Let’s hope the police get more leads soon.
