I'm curious if anyone else has thought about why it took so long for Geraldine's disappearance to be reported. From what I gather, her daughter only informed the authorities in May 2011, which is nearly eight months after she was last seen. That seems like quite a delay. Was there any reason given by the daughter or family members for holding off on going to law enforcement? It seems odd that no one would notice or express concern for such a long time unless Geraldine had a pattern of not being in frequent contact with her family. Hoping someone in the Ladysmith area or who knows the family might have more insights!
