Hey everyone, I’ve been following the case of David Stanton on and off, and something that keeps gnawing at me is the sheer volume of unsolved crimes in Detroit. It's so frustrating and sad, especially when you think about David's family and friends who have been waiting for answers for over a decade now.
I know the Detroit PD has its hands full with the Cold Case Unit trying to manage so many cases. It makes you wonder if there's more we, as a community, can do to support them. Maybe there’s potential in crowdsourcing efforts or even in advocating for more resources for the police department? David's case is just one among many, but every single one of those victims was someone’s loved one, and they deserve justice.
I've also read that advancements in forensic technology could help solve older cases. Does anyone have insight into how effectively these new technologies are being utilized, or if there are any actual successes in recent years? It would be great to hear thoughts from folks who have been tracking cold cases or have been involved in any similar community efforts. Let's keep discussing ways to turn awareness into action.
Hey everyone,
I’ve been following David Stanton’s case for a while now and can’t shake how his story just slipped into the cracks of an overwhelmed system. It's really tough thinking about how many families in Detroit are left waiting, wondering if they'll ever see justice served. I read somewhere about the community's reluctancy to come forward with information and it makes me think about how fear and mistrust must run deep in areas plagued by consistent violence.
With so many unsolved cases, I wish there was more support not just in funding, but in community outreach programs that build trust between locals and law enforcement. Imagine being a key witness but feeling too scared to speak up. Improving these relationships seems crucial for making some headway on cases like David’s.
I really hope we see more resources allocated to developing these community ties. It could be a game-changer for bringing new info to light. Thoughts?
