I can't get over how manipulative and cold-hearted the whole scheme to kidnap Alishah Pointer was. It really bothers me how they dragged those other two women into the situation and forced them to play a role in this horrible crime. Imagine the fear and anguish they must have felt being caught up in such violence. I hope they receive the support they need to deal with the trauma of this entire ordeal. It’s hard not to feel a deep sense of empathy for everyone affected by this senseless act, especially Alishah’s family. They’re living with an unimaginable void in their lives. Sending thoughts to them as they navigate these trials, and hoping justice is truly served for Alishah.
Did anyone else hear about Alishah's twin sister, Aalyiah, and the role she's playing in all this? I can't even begin to imagine the pain of losing a sibling, especially in such a brutal way. Aalyiah speaking out and pushing for justice is so powerful. It must be incredibly difficult to find the strength to do that, and my heart goes out to her. The community rallies, like the vigils, are such important reminders that there are people who care deeply and want justice served. It's a harsh reminder of how desperately this world needs to change. Aalyiah and her family deserve answers and true justice, and I hope that more people come forward to support them in whatever way they can.
