Hi everyone, I’ve been following the case of Robert Cohen Mathis, and something's been puzzling me. On the day he vanished, he had fishing gear with him. Does anyone know if he had a favorite fishing spot around Elkcam Boulevard? It seems odd to me because that area isn't typically known for good fishing spots, as far as I know. Could he have been heading somewhere else entirely? I'm wondering if anyone local to Springfield or familiar with the area might have insights. Maybe there's a hidden spot people don't usually think of, or perhaps something else was going on that day? Any thoughts or info would be greatly appreciated!
Hey everyone,
I’ve been following the Robert Cohen Mathis case closely, and something that sticks out to me is the location where he was last seen. Elkcam Boulevard in southern Washington County is known for its proximity to some remote fishing spots. I keep thinking there might be locals or other fishermen who might have seen something that day without realizing its significance.
Maybe Mathis ran into someone while preparing for his trip? If anyone's been fishing or hiking around that area back then and remembers anything out of the ordinary, even the smallest detail might be crucial. Let’s keep this conversation alive and see if we can jog some memories or spark new insights. Every bit helps!
Stay safe out there, and let’s hope for answers soon.
Has anyone looked into whether Robert Cohen Mathis might have intended to camp out in the woods for a few days after his fishing trip? Since he had both fishing gear and a firearm, it seems possible he might have planned to stay in the area for a while, maybe doing a bit of camping or hunting. It's strange no info has come out about him arranging any fishing or camping with friends, though. If he was planning on being gone longer than originally thought or had something else planned out there, it could help explain why nobody has seen him since he was dropped off. Does anyone know if his usual fishing spot was off Elkcam Boulevard, or if that road leads into any areas he frequently visited? Hoping his family gets some answers soon.
