I can't help but feel for De'Aaron's family and friends, trying to make sense of such a senseless act. I was reading about the spot where it all happened — a "bootleg" club on West Third Street. Does anyone else think these kind of places might be more dangerous because they're not official venues with security and regulations? It’s worrisome to think that these informal settings might contribute to such tragedies. Maybe it’s time for communities to step up and address the safety concerns associated with these types of establishments? I hope this serves as a wake-up call to make these spaces safer so that nobody else's life is ended too soon. Thoughts?
