I’ve been following the case of Imam Mohamed Hassan Adam, and it still feels surreal that someone who gave so much to the community could be taken so violently. One thing that stands out to me is how brave the community was in leading efforts to find Imam Adam when he went missing. They didn’t hesitate to come together and support one another during such a crucial and terrifying time. It’s a testament to the unity and strength within the Somali and Muslim communities in Columbus. They held vigils, organized search parties, and kept Imam Adam’s story alive when it mattered most. His passing left an irreplaceable void, but it’s heartening to see that his spirit and legacy continue to bring people together in love and solidarity. All my thoughts are with his family and everyone who knew him.
