Did anyone else read about the re-opening of Andre Cain's case by Detroit's Cold Case Unit? It's been over a decade, and I can't imagine the pain and frustration his family must still feel. I think it's both hopeful and sad—hopeful that advancements in technology could finally shed light on what happened, but also a reminder of how many other families in Detroit are waiting for their own answers. The year Andre was killed, Detroit was going through such a rough time with crime. It's like the city was drowning in cases, and unfortunately, many were left unresolved. The underfunding and lack of resources just made it that much harder for justice to be served back then. We have to keep bringing attention to these cases, not just for Andre but for every victim whose story was never fully told. Has anyone here seen any efforts or campaigns that have been successful in getting the community more involved? I feel like if more people spoke up, maybe we could bring at least some peace to these families who have been in limbo for so long. My heart goes out to all of those affected by this senseless violence.
