I’ve been keeping up with Jamier Harris's case and wanted to talk about the role community support played after his tragic passing. In such an incredibly difficult time, it seems like the local Akron community really came together to support the Harris family. From organizing vigils to helping spread the word when Jamier’s killers were on the loose, neighbors showed up in a big way. It’s encouraging to see how people can unite and support one another when faced with such senseless acts of violence. I hope Jamier’s family finds some comfort in knowing how loved and supported they were (and are) by those around them. This kind of solidarity and compassion is something special and, honestly, keeps a bit of hope alive amidst all the darkness. Thoughts with anyone else dealing with such loss right now.

Wow, I just read about the tragic case of Jamier Harris and wanted to share my thoughts on the role social media might have played in escalating situations like this. It's haunting to think how easily rumors about someone owing money can spread and fuel tensions. I hope others in the area are staying connected with their loved ones and are cautious about what they share online. Even though justice was served with the convictions of King and Lopez, it's hard not to feel for Harris’s family and friends who have to live with this loss. It's just another reminder of the impact our online actions can have in real life—something I'm sure weighs heavy on the minds of others in the Akron community right now. Thoughts with everyone affected by this tragedy.
