I can’t stop thinking about the tragic incident involving Jamarion Smith outside the Earle B. Turner Recreation Center. A young life lost, and for what? I can only imagine what his family is going through right now. This case really highlights the urgent need for improved safety measures at community spots like rec centers which are meant to be safe havens, not places of fear. Also, I keep wondering if there might be more surveillance footage from around the area. Sometimes businesses or even homes nearby may catch something important on security cameras. I hope more people check their footage from that evening or come forward with any piece of information, no matter how small it may seem. Jamarion’s family deserves answers, and the person responsible needs to be brought to justice. My thoughts are with everyone who knew and loved him.
