Hey everyone, I've been following Tyree Thornton's case since it came up in discussions recently, and I've been struck by how resource constraints really impact the ability of law enforcement to solve these cases. It's maddening and gut-wrenching to think that Tyree's murder, like so many others, remains unsolved because of issues like insufficient resources and the sheer volume of cases. I read somewhere that Detroit's Cold Case Unit has been trying to use modern forensic techniques, but it's often like looking for a needle in a haystack without enough manpower or funding. The numbers are daunting, with 8,000 homicides since 1980 and around two-thirds still unsolved. Tyree deserves justice, as do all the families who have lost loved ones. It pains me to think of how hard this must be for them, knowing that these limitations are blocking their path to closure. Have any of you come across ways we could possibly support local initiatives or organizations that are pushing for more resources or even community-led efforts to shed light on these cases? Hoping for more progress in this and other cases. Stay safe, everyone.

Hey everyone, I've been following Tyree Thornton's case, and something that really stands out to me is the lack of witness cooperation in Detroit. It's so frustrating that fear or distrust can stall justice for victims like Tyree—and his family deserves answers! I read that local organizations and the police are trying hard to change that with public appeals and even launched a cold case webpage back in 2019 to generate more tips. Does anyone know if this approach has seen any success so far? How else can we encourage people in the community to come forward? I genuinely hope that with time, efforts to bridge this gap can bring some much-needed resolution for Tyree's loved ones. It must be so difficult not having the closure they need. Stay safe, everyone.
