Wow, this case is just so perplexing and tragic. My heart goes out to Lily Marie West and the entire family. Losing a parent in such a violent way must be incredibly difficult to bear. I find it a bit unsettling that someone so involved in law enforcement like Donald West ended up being a victim himself. The fact that his girlfriend called emergency personnel makes me wonder what was really going through her mind at that moment—guilt, panic, a cry for help? It's just so hard to make sense of it all. I hope Lily has a strong support network around her. It must be painful for her to reconcile the image of the father she knew with the way his life ended. Does anyone know how she's doing these days? Sending love and strength to those who continue to feel this loss.
