I've been thinking a lot about Robbie Mike's case lately and how it has affected not just his family, but also our whole community here in Charlotte. From everything I've read and heard, it seems like he was truly loved and respected by so many people. What's been weighing on me is how his friends and family have coped with the loss over the years. In situations like this, the community often surrounds the victim’s family with support, but the emotional toll is unimaginable. I can’t help but wonder how they have been doing as time has passed. Have they found ways to honor Robbie's memory, or is the weight of what happened still overwhelming? I hope they've found some peace and comfort, even as they continue to deal with the aftermath of such a senseless act. Nothing can ever replace Robbie, but maybe keeping his spirit alive through community gatherings or other forms of remembrance can bring some solace.
