Has anyone else been reading about the part where a customer found Theresa at the kennel? I can’t imagine the horror and shock they must have felt stumbling upon such a tragic scene. It makes me wonder about the psychological impact on that person, even though they're not directly involved in the case. Sometimes we forget about those indirectly affected by such tragedies. My thoughts are with them as well—no one should have to experience something like that. Does anyone know if they've given a statement or if there have been any updates on how they’re doing? It's such an awful situation for everyone close to this case.
It's still so hard for me to wrap my head around how the signs of danger were there for Theresa McCraw, yet this tragedy still happened. Filing an order of protection must have been an incredibly tough decision for her, signaling just how serious the situation had become with Michael. I just can't stop thinking about how she must have felt navigating that fear. I hope Theresa's story reminds everyone to trust their instincts and seek help whenever there's a situation of domestic violence—they're never alone in this, and resources are available.
It's a small consolation that Michael was caught so quickly, but it's a comfort to know justice is being pursued. I can't imagine the grief her family and friends must be experiencing, having to relive everything during the trial. My heart goes out to them. Let's keep discussing this case and supporting domestic violence awareness in honor of Theresa's memory.
Does anyone else find it chilling that Michael McCraw was familiar with the order of protection against him, yet still ended up at the kennel? It must have been such a terrifying time for Theresa leading up to this. The fact that she continued running her business, despite the looming threat, speaks volumes about her bravery and dedication to her animals and her clients. I can’t get over how someone could do something so violent to someone they once shared a life with. My heart goes out to her family and the community she helped build. Remembering that customer who found her, too—it’s a haunting reminder of how deeply an act of violence ripples through so many lives.
