Does anyone else feel a chill thinking about how this unfolded right in a school parking lot? I’ve been reading about the tragic case of Chahnaz Kebaier, and it's hard to wrap my mind around how vulnerable she must have felt in those final moments. It’s one thing to worry about your safety at home, but to be attacked in broad daylight, where you're supposed to feel safe picking up your kids, is terrifying. I can't help but think about the children who were there and what they'll carry with them. I'm grateful that support teams were there to help, but it must be so difficult for them to process seeing something so horrendous. It's commendable to see the community rallying, but there are so many layers of grief they’ll have to work through. Let's not forget how important it is to keep discussing and raising awareness about domestic violence—I hope this case spurs change to protect others.

I've been following the case of Chahnaz Kebaier, and there's one detail that really struck me. The fact that her children were at the school when the tragedy unfolded is just unimaginable. These poor kids have had their lives completely turned upside down. I can’t help but think about how they must be feeling, having witnessed such a horrific event and now living so far from what they knew as home. It’s reassuring, in a small way, to know they are with family in Tunisia, but I hope they’re receiving the emotional support they surely need. It's just so upsetting to think about the long-term impacts this will have on them—it breaks my heart for their lost sense of security and innocence. My thoughts are with them and the rest of Chahnaz’s family during this incredibly painful time.

I’ve been following the tragic case of Chahnaz Kebaier, and it’s hard not to be struck by the courage she showed even in such terrifying circumstances. The fact that she was still trying to keep the family together for the sake of her children despite the threats is deeply moving. It shows just how much she loved her kids. I can't imagine what it must have been like for her children being at school that day and then having their world turned upside down. I hope they’re finding some peace and support with their grandparents in Tunisia. This case makes you wonder about what more can be done to protect people in domestic violence situations. My heart goes out to anyone affected by this awful tragedy in Chapel Hill.
