I've been following the Eric Kentrall Staten case closely, and I just read about the timing of his tragic murder—right before 10 p.m. in a shopping center parking lot. I can’t help but think about how busy those places often are, even at night. Isn't it eerie to imagine something so awful happening in a spot where people usually feel safe running errands or grabbing a meal? It's unsettling to think someone would target him there, just steps away from where many of us spend our everyday lives. My heart goes out to Eric's family and friends. I can’t imagine the pain of losing someone so young and full of potential. It’s a grim reminder we need to stay vigilant in our communities and support those who are hurting. I truly hope justice prevails for Eric and his loved ones. The community deserves answers, and hopefully, understanding more about what happened that night will bring some peace. Let's keep supporting each other as we follow Nathaniel Tearry's court proceedings.
