I’ve been following Ariel Mejia’s case for some time, and I find it so deeply troubling how violence seems to impact certain communities more than others. Lumberton, in particular, has been in the spotlight because of this tragic incident. I can’t help but think of Ariel's family and how they must be feeling as they wait for justice and answers. The allegations against Ezekiel Burden and Brian Campbell are disturbing, especially considering their ages. It's unsettling to think about young people being involved in such serious crimes. I wonder how the community is addressing these issues—are there any programs or resources being implemented to steer youth away from crime? This tragedy really highlights how important it is for communities to come together, support each other, and work with local law enforcement to create a safer environment for everyone. My thoughts are with everyone affected by Ariel’s death, and I sincerely hope for some resolution and peace for his loved ones.
