I’ve been following the tragic case of Devon Deberry, and my heart just goes out to his family and friends. There’s this chilling aspect to the whole thing that I can’t stop thinking about—it seems like the neighborhood where this happened was usually so peaceful, the kind of place where people felt safe. It must be devastating for residents to know that something so horrible occurred right there in their community. I wonder how the quick arrests of the suspects influenced the community's sense of safety. Did it offer some relief, or did it just make things more unsettling, knowing how fast things escalated? It's hard to imagine what the residents are going through now, having to reconcile their sense of home with the reality of this tragedy. If anyone is from around that area, how are people holding up? Keeping Devon and his loved ones in my thoughts.
